Prevention and Education
All participants in our services have access to on-going educational seminars on substance abuse issues. Seminars focus on how drugs affects the human body, the effect of drugs on the brain, and ones' psycho-socio development. In addition, interaction of drug use and psychotropic medication for dually diagnosed clients is addressed.
Evidenced based curriculum for drug use prevention is being used in our transitional youth program that focuses on life skills training along with an educational component on various drugs.
