Self Owned Bussinesses
IKRON encourages individual enterprise and has been involved in the development of several self-owned businesses, including an art studio for budding artists and sculptors, a dog grooming business and a retail craft business. Hours available for assistance are Monday through Friday, 9:15 AM - 2:00 PM. Other hours can be arranged.
IKRON's relationship with the Ohio Rehabilitation Commission has been most helpful for those persons who are interested in starting their own business. Rehabilitation counselors from the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation have been supportive in providing individuals with the opportunity to receive instruction on how to operate an independent business.
IKRON welcomes ideas of consumers who would like to begin their own business or enterprise. We encourage and welcome consumer creativity. When requested by consumers, we are able to provide the support and direction that many self-starters seek when starting a small business. Consumer-operated activities are managed by consumers with interest and training in their areas of expertise. This service is closely related to an incubator where consumers can seek professional help in planning and managing their own business or service for a trial period in a supportive environment before becoming an independent self-owned business.
